Madonna
Wojtaszek-Healy, Ph.D.
Madonna Wojtaszek-Healy is an educational
consultant and Vice
President of Rooted in Love, Inc. She
holds a Ph.D. in
Educational Psychology from the University of
Illinois. An experienced
catechist, she has also taught in both public
and Catholic elementary
schools.
Madonna’s mission is to include all children,
whatever their needs, in
the educational and spiritual life of the
Church. Her gift is being
able to show that, when some children are
excluded, everybody loses,
and the Kingdom of God is no longer fully
imaged.
A previous speaker at both the National
Conference of Catechetical
Leadership and the National Catholic Education
Association, she has
also been asked to share her ideas and
convictions at the National
Catholic School Principal’s Forum, the
National Catholic Special Needs
Conference, and the Los Angeles Religious
Education Congress.
Madonna herself has children with special
needs. She is the author of The ABC’s of
A.D.D. for Catechists, The Day that
Matthew Changed, and The Secret of
Your Success.
Madonna enjoys tailoring her
presentations to the needs of her
audience, whether they be educational
professionals, volunteer
catechists, or parents. With scholarship,
honesty and humor, she was
described by one school administrator as
having a “unique combination
of competence and vulnerability.”
A former Special Needs Consultant to the
Diocese of Joliet, Madonna
currently teaches within the parochial school
system. Madonna and her
husband Jim live in Joliet, Illinois. They
have four children.
